We are a home for six senior residents aged 60 and over that provides 24-hour assisted living care. Evening Shade Manor is "a caring facility," helping seniors as they approach the golden years. Our attractive six-bedroom home is family owned and operated. Pat Foster and Marlene Larkin-Vowles, long-time residents of El Cajon, are the administrator/owners.

Residents get the feeling of "being home" and receive an abundance of personalized care, home cooking and visits to area attractions and events. We feel fortunate that we are so close to East County Performing Arts. This is indeed a home away from home where one can relax at his or her own pace. Tall Chinese elms grace a lovely yard, which invites casual walking or simply enjoying the breezes while sitting on the patio or deck.

Our inviting facility has a large family room with fireplace and a covered patio overlooking a spacious and shady backyard. A deck surrounds the back and sides of the house, with access from each bedroom. Residents may sit at the umbrella tables, enjoying the outdoors and the shady backyard, or sit on the front porch overlooking our flower garden.
